Mercer Landmark is seeking a dependable and motivated Mill Operator to join our team at our Celina feed facility on 2nd shift. This full-time position plays a vital role in producing high-quality livestock feed while supporting the success of local farmers and agricultural operations. Position Summary The Mill Operator is responsible for supporting daily feed manufacturing operations, including operating automated feed systems, loading feed trucks, unloading ingredients, operating equipment, and maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment. Essential Responsibilities
- Operate WEM automation systems to manufacture quality livestock feed.
- Assist with feed production and daily mill operations.
- Load feed trucks and unload incoming ingredients.
- Safely operate forklifts and other equipment as assigned.
- Perform routine housekeeping and maintain a clean, organized facility.
- Complete a variety of tasks both inside and outside the facility as needed.
- Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
- Provide excellent customer service and support to our patrons.
- Assist with inventory movement, material handling, and general facility operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective verbal communication skills and basic reading comprehension.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Basic knowledge of workplace safety procedures and practices.
- Forklift experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
- Valid driver's license or the ability to obtain one.
- Ability to safely perform manual labor and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform physically demanding work in varying conditions.
- Understanding of the seasonal demands of agriculture and willingness to work additional hours during peak periods.
- Ability to interact professionally with customers, coworkers, and management.
- Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties of the position.
