General Job Description:
- Part-time, evening welding instructor, fill in as needed.
- Provide instruction to adults in Welding.
- Provide instruction in group setting or individually.
- Curriculum created/adjust to class needs.
- Attend yearly Maplewood Advisory Board meeting for Welding Technologies/Modular Welding.
- Ability to teach in class or lab setting.
- Evening hours 5:45 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday-Thursday.
Reports to: Director of Adult Education
Qualifications:
- Must have 5 years work experience and a high school diploma.
- Welding Certification(s) preferred; weld test required.
- Teaching experience not required, but preferred.
- Desire to work with adult learners.
- Provide BCI/FBI Background Check (this can be done at Maplewood).
- Current Ohio Department of Education Adult Education Teaching Certificate (apply for after employment).
- Communication skills.
- Ability to use computer (email/Word/PowerPoint).
SALARY:
$25 per hour STRS pension benefits
