Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Assistant Supervisor to support daily warehouse operations. This role assists the Supervisor in overseeing staff, ensuring productivity goals are met, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Ideal candidates will have strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and experience in a fast-paced logistics setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Supervisor in managing daily operations and workforce activities
- Monitor employee performance, productivity, and attendance
- Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members
- Ensure adherence to company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards
- Coordinate workflow and assignments to meet production goals
- Communicate with leadership regarding staffing needs, issues, and improvements
- Help train new hires and support onboarding processes
- Address minor operational issues and escalate when necessary
Qualifications:
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience required
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
- Basic computer skills (MS Office, data entry systems)
- Flexible schedule, including overtime if needed
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed
- Work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures
