Our client, a manufacturing organization focused on quality and safety, is seeking a Sand Blaster to join their team. As a Sand Blaster, you will be part of the Paint Department supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong commitment to safety, a detail-oriented mindset, and the drive to deliver consistent surface preparation that helps coatings perform at their best. Job Title: Sand Blaster Location: Fresno, CA Pay Range: $20 Shift: Swing Shift: Monday - Thursday, 3:00 PM - 1:30 AM What's the Job?
- Operate sandblasting equipment to prepare metal parts and welded assemblies for painting and coating.
- Remove rust, mill scale, surface contaminants, and imperfections to support proper coating adhesion.
- Load, position, and secure materials to ensure efficient and consistent blasting operations.
- Monitor air pressure, abrasive flow, and blasting equipment to maintain quality standards.
- Inspect finished surfaces for cleanliness and proper surface profile, and complete daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance. What's Needed?
- 2+ years of sandblasting experience in manufacturing, fabrication, industrial, or automotive environments preferred.
- Experience operating sandblasting equipment, including pressure pots, blast hoses, air supply systems, and surface preparation tools.
- Ability to read blueprints and manufacturing drawings, and work independently while maintaining quality standards.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and meet production schedules in a fast-paced industrial environment.
- Strong attention to detail, commitment to quality workmanship, and consistent adherence to safety procedures and required PPE. What's in it for me?
