Our client in the Energy & Power Technology industry is seeking an HPC Storage & Data Management Engineer to join their team. As an HPC Storage & Data Management Engineer, you will be part of the High Performance Computing (HPC) Infrastructure team supporting engineering simulation users and enterprise storage operations. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, collaboration abilities, and attention to detail, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: HPC Storage & Data Management Engineer Location: Greenville, SC Pay Range: $57.58/hour What's the Job?
- Manage and optimize HPC storage environments, including scratch, project, archive, and home directory storage.
- Administer storage quotas, monitor utilization trends, and support capacity planning efforts.
- Manage file permissions and ACLs across NFS and SMB environments for Linux and Windows users.
- Implement and maintain data lifecycle, archiving, and retention strategies within AWS.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve storage governance and support AI/ML data readiness initiatives. What's Needed?
- Experience supporting HPC (High Performance Computing) storage environments.
- Strong AWS storage experience, including services such as FSx, EFS, and S3.
- Hands-on Linux administration experience.
- Knowledge of NFS, SMB, file permissions, and access control management.
- Experience with data lifecycle management, storage optimization, and archiving strategies. What's in it for Me?
