Objective This position is primarily responsible is evaluating and performing service and/or repair jobs on engines and generators.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:• Troubleshoot, repair, and service equipment (generators, diesel and/or gas engines, transfer switches, switch gear, and etc.) using proper tools and procedures• Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and efficiently; work orders, service reports, allocation of time, and tracking parts• Maintain customer satisfaction by ensuring customer needs and deadlines are met• Complete all scheduled repairs in a safe and efficient manner• Follow contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations• Adheres to all safety rules and maintains quality housekeeping in work area

Supervisory Responsibilities:• No formal responsibility for supervising others

Qualifications

III. Position Requirements

Required:• High School diploma or GED or equivalent work experience• 3 years or more of mechanical experience with engines/generators Preferred:• 5 years or more experience with engines/generators, preferably Caterpillar equipment• Experience with transfer switches, switch gear, uninterrupted power source (UPS) equipment IV.
