Join Lubrizol’s Total Rewards team as a Global Compensation Analyst, supporting the corporate teams of Finance, Marketing & Communications, Legal, and Information Technology (IT). In this role, you’ll collaborate with Regional Total Rewards teams to support global job structures, provide meaningful compensation analysis, and help deliver market-competitive programs that attract and retain talent. You’ll coordinate global market survey activities, prepare clear recommendations, and help Human Resources partners and business stakeholders understand compensation practices and decisions.
How You’ll Make an Impact
As a Global Compensation Analyst, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, driving global compensation analysis, job structure administration, market survey activities, and salary review support for the corporate teams of Finance, Marketing & Communications, Legal, and Information Technology (IT). You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing, and enhance modern life. In this role, you will:
• Consult on job family architecture alignment for assigned client groups and recommend total compensation packages that balance business needs with market data.
• Lead global market survey submissions, validate data and job matches, and help stakeholders understand survey participation requirements and results.
• Analyze compensation data to identify trends, discrepancies, and improvement opportunities; summarize findings and prepare recommendations for review.
• Provide guidance and support for the twice-yearly salary review process completed within SAP SuccessFactors.
• Recommend practical improvements to compensation processes and tools, and support smaller projects or assigned workstreams.
• Apply established compensation procedures to support compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and other applicable regulatory requirements, escalating potential concerns and maintaining ethical practices.
• Participate in relevant industry events and training to maintain working knowledge of compensation practices, market trends, and regulatory changes.
Required Qualifications that Enable Your Success
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, or relevant equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
• Compensation or related analytical experience demonstrating the ability to independently perform compensation analyses and administer established processes.
• Working knowledge of North American compensation practices and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in compensation data analysis tools, with the ability to validate data, interpret findings, and prepare clear recommendations.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain compensation data, policies, and practices clearly.
• Ability to prioritize multiple assignments, meet agreed timelines, and recognize when additional guidance or escalation is needed.
• Ability to maintain focus and productivity while sitting for extended periods and using standard office equipment.
• Willingness to travel occasionally, up to 10–20%, for business purposes such as visiting company locations or attending industry events.
