Bartender - Job Summary As a Hemingway's Tavern Bartender, you will captain the helm of Pilar (Hemingway’s fishing boat and the inspiration of our bar design). You will take passengers on a journey with hand-crafted cocktails, beer, wine and cuisine inspired by the life and adventures of Ernest Hemingway. Bartenders at Hemingway’s Tavern are encouraged to showcase their talents by not only mixing our craft cocktails, but by sharing your favorite recipes. Who knows, maybe you possess the next best seller to be featured as a special or become a permanent fixture on our ship Pilar. What You'll Do
- Greet each guest and provide an excellent experience for every Guest
- Provide responsible service of alcoholic beverages
- Be always accessible behind bar for Guests and Team members
- Possess basic math skills and could handle and count of money
- Expedite food, get beverages, and deliver these items to our Guests
- Helping fellow Team Members when appropriate
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours per shift).
- Able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food when necessary (30 lbs.)
- Maintain cleanliness throughout dining room and bar area to company standards
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and maneuver up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
