The ministry is made up of two operating entities: Lenawee Christian School and the Christian Family Centre, located in Adrian, MI.
- Lenawee Christian School exists in partnership with the family and church to integrate Biblical truth for life with a commitment to glorifying Jesus Christ through academic excellence and spiritual maturity.
- The Christian Family Centre is a world-class fitness and family activity facility that strives to assist families and individuals grow in their physical, social, and spiritual wellness with Jesus Christ being the center.
POSITION SUMMARY. Lenawee Christian School is seeking Christ-centered, reliable, and flexible Substitute Teachers to provide instructional leadership and classroom instruction in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. Substitute Teachers play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning and upholding the academic and spiritual mission of Lenawee Christian School. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a love for students, a commitment to biblical principles, and the ability to effectively deliver instruction while fostering a safe, structured, and Christ-honoring classroom environment. Substitute Teachers are valued members of the instructional team and are essential to supporting student learning and daily classroom operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES.
- Provide classroom instruction by implementing lesson plans aligned with the school’s academic standards and spiritual objectives.
- Maintain continuity of instruction and learning in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.
- Establish and manage a safe, orderly, and Christ-centered classroom environment.
- Foster a positive classroom culture that supports academic engagement, spiritual growth, and respectful behavior.
- Exercise appropriate instructional judgment when responding to classroom needs.
- Take attendance and follow established classroom routines and school procedures.
- Communicate instructional progress, student concerns, and classroom issues to school administration and/or the regular teacher.
- Model and uphold the mission, values, standards, and expectations of Lenawee Christian School at all times.
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to provide instruction across grade levels and subject areas as assigned.

Experience
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Prior teaching or instructional experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge & Skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage a classroom and engage students in learning.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability and willingness to teach across multiple grade levels and subject areas as needed.
Full Day Sub Rate: $120/day | Half Day Sub Rate: $73/day
