Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized occupational therapy plans to meet the unique needs of our residents, focusing on areas such as fine motor skills, mobility, and cognitive functioning
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify areas of strength and weakness, and develop strategies to address any challenges
- Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care and support
- Develop and implement adaptive strategies and techniques to enhance daily living skills, such as dressing, grooming, and feeding
- Provide education and training to residents, families, and caregivers on occupational therapy techniques and strategies
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in accordance with facility policies and regulations
Requirements:
- Current Occupational Therapy licensure in the state of Colorado
- Experience in occupational therapy preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Compassion and empathy for older adults and individuals with disabilities
