- Greet guests, take accurate food and drink orders, and offer menu or cocktail recommendations.
- Mix and garnish drinks following standard recipes and portion controls.
- Check customer identification to verify legal drinking age and monitor consumption to prevent intoxication.
- Process payments via cash registers or POS (point-of-sale) systems and manage open tabs.
- Restock bar inventory, ice, glassware, garnishes, and beer/wine/spirit supplies.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary bar area by wiping counters, washing glassware, and following health regulations.
- Strong knowledge of mixology, cocktail recipes, wine, and beer varieties.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer-facing skills.
- High energy with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math and cash-handling accuracy.
- Age requirements and local alcohol server certifications (such as TIPS or TAMS) as mandated by state law.
