Skilled Laborer
Location: Gulf Shores, Alabama
Job Type: Full Time
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM (1 hour lunch)
We are looking for a dependable and versatile Skilled Laborer/Handyman to assist with residential and commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable working independently, and capable of handling a variety of construction, maintenance, installation, and punch-list tasks.
Primary Responsibilities:
General jobsite cleanup and organization
Complete various construction punch-list items
Install appliances, cabinets, locksets, doorstops, mirrors, bathroom accessories, and other hardware
Perform basic carpentry and repair work
Install signage
Perform basic equipment maintenance and maintain service logs
Safely operate basic construction equipment and machinery
Load materials and equipment and safely pull trailers
Use hand and power tools safely
Track and complete basic paperwork when moving inventory
Complete assigned tasks accurately and in a timely manner
Follow jobsite safety procedures and communicate issues to supervisors
Qualifications:
Valid driver's license required
General construction or handyman experience preferred
Basic carpentry and mechanical skills
Comfortable using hand and power tools
Ability to operate equipment and pull trailers
Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting and carrying materials
Dependable, organized, and detail oriented
Able to work independently and as part of a team
