Kratos Communications in Colorado Springs, CO, is seeking team-oriented software engineers to build software applications for our Service, Network and Device management products. We are looking for a self-sufficient software engineer who can work productively within a fast-paced engineering team. A good candidate will have the adaptability to work full stack but primarily focusing on RESTful client and server development. Experience in Agile software development methodologies is preferred. Applicants must be able to decompose user stories into engineering tasks and provide accurate time estimates. They will participate in agile sprint planning as well as develop automated tests and initial documentation of development work. 15% domestic travel may be required for this position; typical travel assignments would be 3-5 days.
Required Skills and Experience
- 10-15 years’ experience in networked programming using Java
- Minimum education level needed: B.A. or B.S. in computer science, or equivalent
- Experience developing unit tests with tools such as SonarQube or other code coverage tools
- General knowledge with Docker, Kubernetes, and Rancher
- Basic understanding of web-based technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScirpt)
- Build pipeline automation and packaging using tools such as Bamboo
- General cloud knowledge with AWS or Azure
- Familiarity with working in a SAFe Agile environment using Atlassian suite of tools such as Jira and Confluence or other similar collaboration tools

Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, and skills. Competitive salary based on experience and education Salary Range: $140,000-$170,000
