Position Overview
We are seeking a frontend-leaning engineer to help build and scale Clinical Intelligence capabilities in our user-facing web application. You will work closely with Platform Engineering and customer-facing teams to build accessible, intuitive, and performant user experiences that support real-time AI workflows across enterprise healthcare environments.
This role is ideal for an engineer who has experience operating on small, high-impact teams with significant ownership and autonomy, including end-to-end execution on critical product features.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and expand core Clinical Intelligence experiences, including AI assistants, patient context, patient search, trial and drug eligibility, and other emerging workflows
- Build and scale client-side EHR-integrated features
- Maintain complex audio-centric workflows
- Develop accessible, intuitive, and performant user interfaces
- Develop secure and performant APIs and supporting infrastructure for web and mobile applications
- Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and customer delivery teams to prioritize bug fixes, improvements, and new feature development
- Participate meaningfully in technical discussions, design reviews, and code reviews
- Improve system reliability, observability, and performance
- Handle engineering escalations from customer-facing teams, including investigating issues outside of your typical areas of responsibility
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience building production web applications
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript
- Experience building applications with React and Node.js
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs
- Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases
- Understanding of distributed systems and scalability concepts
- Strong debugging, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Significant experience using agentic coding tools to aid in the SDLC
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare technology or regulated environments
- Experience building real-time or highly interactive web applications
- Familiarity with AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, S3, RDS, and DynamoDB
Technical Environment
- React, TypeScript, Node.js, and Python (Lambda)
- AWS cloud infrastructure (including GovCloud environments)
- AI-enabled application platforms
- CI/CD pipelines and containerized services
- Observability and analytics tools (Amplitude, Sentry)
