JOB SUMMARY: Maintain the safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency of our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will handle routine janitorial duties, execute preventative cleaning schedules, and perform basic building and facility equipment repairs.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Facility Cleaning & Sanitation
- Sweep, vacuum, mop, and clean production floors, offices, and common areas to remove debris.
- Clean and sanitize facility washrooms and break areas daily.
- Empty trash receptacles, manage recycling, and ensure proper disposal of waste.
- Clean exterior grounds, walkways, and parking lots; assist with snow/debris removal as necessary.
- Wash and disinfect building walls, windows, and air vents.
- Basic Repair & Preventative Maintenance
- Perform basic mechanical repairs.
- Change HVAC filters, replace light bulbs, and fix or replace faulty plumbing fixtures (faucets, toilets, drains).
- Patch walls, repair drywall, and paint facility interiors and exteriors.
- Assemble, install, and adjust facility fixtures, furniture, and basic equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections of safety systems, such as emergency exits and fire extinguishers.
- Safety & Compliance
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Adhere strictly to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and all other plant safety protocols.
- Report any major equipment faults or structural damage to the Associate Director of Manufacturing.
- Perform other duties as assigned
