Kforce has a client that is seeking a Collections/AR Specialist in Maryland Heights, MO.
Duties:
- Collections/AR Specialist will manage collection efforts on outstanding customer balances
- Follow up with customers regarding past-due invoices and payment status
- Apply and allocate customer payments accurately
- Monitor aging reports and prioritize weekly and monthly collection activity
- Reconcile customer accounts and quickly research discrepancies
- Investigate and resolve customer billing and payment questions
- Process accounts receivable adjustments
- Monitor accounts for delayed payments, non-payment, and other irregularities
- Build strong working relationships with customers while understanding their payment practices and business needs
- As a Collections/AR Specialist, you will prepare monthly A/R metrics and collection reporting
- Assist with month-end close activities
- Communicate with customers by phone and email regarding account activity and outstanding balances
- High School diploma or GED required
- 3-5 years of Accounts Receivable and/or collections experience
- Experience working within an ERP system
- Strong account reconciliation and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy
- Self-motivated with the ability to independently manage a high-volume workload
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
- SAP and/or Oracle experience preferred
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
