Position Available : Cafeteria Worker Substitute
- Duties include: assisting head cook and full-time cook in preparing meals.
- Work on serving line when needed.
- Working with equipment such as ovens, steamers, kettles, mixers, etc.
- Washing and drying large pots, pans and trays.
- Washing and drying counter tops, cleaning equipment, and general cleaning of kitchen.
- Requires heavy lifting and standing.
- Attend information meetings and workshops
- Keep dishes clean and sanitized.
- Keep dish room clean
- Help in kitchen where needed.
- Any other duties as assigned.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
Physical Demands: Ability to sit and talk and hear; Ability to stand; walk, climb or balance, stoop kneel crouch or crawl and move quickly when necessary to promote participants' safety; Ability to lift and/ or move 50 lbs.
Sensory Ability: Ability to speak clearly and distinctly; Auditory acuity to be able to hear students and directions, use telephone; Visual acuity to operate kitchen equipment, serve lunch portions, oversee cafeteria behavior and read recipes, directions and correspondence.
Work Environment: Regular school environment (indoor and outdoors) Temperament: Ability to work independently and with a team; Must be courteous; Must be cooperative and service oriented; Ability to be flexible in meeting the needs of students and staff which may require cross training.
