About the role

What you’ll do
- Operate coating machines to apply silicone, non-silicone, and adhesive mixes according to customer specifications.

- Prepare equipment by cleaning machines and setting temperatures, airflow, speed, and threading.
- Load materials using a hand crank or hydraulic lift, and add mixes by hand or pump.
- Adjust machine speed and tension using hand controls or a touchscreen.
- Perform routine product checks, including visual inspections for defects and scratches.
- Enter material information into the QAD system to support accurate inventory tracking.
- Follow all company safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment.
- Use basic hand tools to assemble or disassemble machine parts as needed.
What you’ll bring
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
- Manufacturing and machinery experience is welcome.
- Ability to read and understand work instructions, job folders, and memos.
- Basic math skills, including calculations involving conversions, weights, volume, and distance.
- Ability to learn coating equipment, materials, and basic troubleshooting. Proficiency typically takes 12–18 months, depending on the machine.
Physical requirements and work environment
This role involves frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, and using your hands. You must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 70 pounds independently and, with assistance, plastic film rolls weighing up to 200 pounds. The job may also involve climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
Work takes place in a manufacturing environment with moving machinery and occasional exposure to heat, fumes, or airborne dust. Noise can be moderate to loud when blowers are running. Required PPE may include gloves, safety shoes, dust masks, hearing protection, and safety glasses.
