Janitorial Floor Care Technician
Join our team at JNS Facility Maintenance, a local family-owned and operated facility maintenance company with over 30 years of experience serving Ann Arbor and the surrounding areas. We lead by example in professionalism, quality service, and commitment to excellence.
As a Floor Care Technician, you will travel to client locations to perform professional carpet and floor care services. This position will operate a company Transit van and travel throughout the Ann Arbor area. Monday-Friday 4:00 PM-11:00 PM
We’re looking for someone with janitorial, floor care, or related experience who is eager to develop specialized floor care skills
Responsibilites
- Travel to job sites in Ann Arbor based on scheduled work orders
- Communicate work order updates and completion status with before-and-after pictures
- Perform spot cleaning, pre-treatment, extraction, and other carpet care services
- Perform hard-surface floor care, including scrubbing, stripping, buffing, and refinishing
- Set up, operate, clean, and properly maintain floor care and extraction equipment
- Follow company procedures, safety requirements, and client-specific instructions
- Ability to work independently and professionally
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous carpet cleaning, floor care, maintenance, or janitorial experience preferred
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and maneuver equipment and supplies
- Dependable, organized, and self-motivated
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage scheduled assignments
