Help people find their voice. As a Speech-Language Pathologist at It Takes THE VILLAGE, you will support children, teens and adults with speech, language, social communication and feeding needs, as part of a team where speech therapy, occupational therapy, behavior analysis and mental health care work together instead of in silos. PAY: $55–$67.50 per hour, depending on licensure and experience.
ABOUT IT TAKES THE VILLAGE
Since 2012, we have brought behavioral health (including ABA therapy), mental health, speech therapy and occupational therapy together in El Dorado Hills, so families work with one coordinated team. We serve children, teens, adults and couples at our clinic, in the community and at school.
WHERE YOU'LL WORK
Many of our speech positions are school-based, with the possibility of clinic assignments at our El Dorado Hills location. School-district contract assignments follow the 2026–2027 school year. Positions are full-time or part-time, and we are glad to talk about a schedule that works for your life. WHY SLPs LIKE IT HERE
- Real collaboration. Share goals and progress with OTs, behavior analysts and mental health therapists, and learn from the room next door.
- Room for life outside work. Documentation time is built into paid hours, and caseloads are kept manageable.
- Pay you can see up front. A clear hourly range, set by licensure and years in the field.
- Support for school-based practice. A speech team that understands the responsibilities of working in schools, including IEP meetings, and the collaboration that makes the work sustainable.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Evaluate and treat speech, language, social communication and feeding needs, building plans around each person’s goals.
- Provide therapy in school, clinic or community settings, depending on your assignment.
- Partner with families, teachers and IEP teams around goals that matter to them.
- Share goals and progress with colleagues in occupational therapy, behavioral health and mental health.
- Keep clear, timely clinical documentation.
WHAT YOU BRING
- An active California speech-language pathology license. ASHA CCC-SLP is preferred. School-based assignments may also call for a California Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential, depending on the site.
- A warm, family-centered approach and a collaborative style.
- Helpful, not required: experience with children, including children with autism, language delays or social communication differences. New graduates with a California license are welcome to apply.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Pay of $55–$67.50 per hour, depending on licensure and experience.
- A healthcare stipend of up to $500 a month for full-time team members (32+ hours), plus access to dental and vision plans.
- Paid time off, plus school breaks for school-based roles.
- Ongoing support, training and opportunities to grow.
