Insitu’s world-class manufacturing facilities are located in Bingen, WA and deliver the highest quality products on time. We have a 12 month contract need for an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to working onsite in Bingen, WA.
What you’ll do:
Perform Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) activities across multiple disciplines.
- Plans, implements and maintains a variety of company environmental, health and safety programs.
- Performs required testing programs and maintains documentation.
- Coordinates and conducts health and safety training/education for employees.
- Conducts compliance assessments and audits of facilities and operations, communicates results and maintains metrics.
- Performs root cause analysis and drafts corrective action plans.
- Assists in the evaluation of current policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Monitors chemicals, storage facilities and personal protective equipment.
Education & Experience:
- 3-5 years related experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 1-3 years related experience with a Master's degree or comparable combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of accident/incident prevention and environmental protection tools, program elements and tactics.
- Skill in utilizing different communication materials to satisfy a variety of customer requirements and environments
- Knowledge of relevant government agencies’ laws, regulations and standards as well as current issues impacting functional responsibilities of the job family.
- Knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective action of non-conformance to investigate incidents. For the purpose of leveraging training throughout the organization so as not to repeat incidents.
- Knowledge of OSHA record-keeping and Workers' Compensation administration requirements as applicable to each state.

This role requires hands-on work on our products/collaboration with on-site teams, and will need to work onsite full-time in Bingen, WA.
