Position Overview
Pay: $19-$22/hour + OT
Insight Global is hiring on behalf of one of the largest low-voltage and data center infrastructure companies in North America. We are seeking dependable, safety-minded individuals looking to break into the data center and structured cabling industry.
This role will begin with site safety, spotting, and traffic control responsibilities, but strong performers will have the opportunity to learn low-voltage cabling and develop into full technicians. This position is ideal for someone looking to start a long-term career in the skilled trades or technology infrastructure space.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities Conduct visual and physical safety sweeps throughout active work areas Create and maintain safe pathways for personnel and equipment movement Move cones, barriers, and safety equipment as directed Monitor and control pedestrian and equipment traffic flow Stop or redirect personnel entering restricted work zones Follow verbal instructions from site leadership and technicians Assist with maintaining a safe work environment Support technicians with basic project tasks as needed Participate in on-the-job training for low-voltage and data center work Work five 10-hour shifts with occasional overtime or Saturday work as project needs dictate
Skills and Requirements
Must-Haves Reliable transportation and valid driver's license Ability to pass background check and drug screening Steel-toe boots Ability to work in an active construction/data center environment Strong attendance and punctuality Ability to follow verbal directions and safety procedures Interest in learning a trade and growing into a technician role Plusses Construction, warehouse, laborer, or safety experience Previous spotting or traffic control experience Experience working around heavy equipment OSHA certification Interest in technology, AI, IT infrastructure, or data center environments
