Required Skills & Experience
- 1–2+ years of box-truck, route-delivery, or closely aligned driving experience preferred
- Multi-stop delivery experience strongly preferred
- Clean MVR with no major violations within the previous three years
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid DOT medical card
- Ability to meet applicable DOT requirements
- Ability to successfully complete required background and pre-employment screenings
- Strong attendance, punctuality, and overall reliability
- Reliable transportation
- Strong customer-service and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and delivery accuracy
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, dispatch, Operations, and management English/Spanish bilingual communication skills are preferred but not required
Job Description
Insight Global is seeking dependable, customer-focused Delivery Drivers to support multi-stop food distribution routes. This is a hands-on delivery position that goes well beyond simply driving from stop to stop. Drivers are responsible for safely operating reefer box trucks, unloading and delivering products, verifying order accuracy, completing required paperwork, communicating with Operations, and providing professional service directly to customers. Drivers typically complete approximately 15–22 stops per day, depending on route distance and volume, and trucks may carry 350+ items. The position requires someone who is comfortable with a fast-paced, physically demanding workday and takes pride in safety, accuracy, reliability, and customer service.
- Safely operate a reefer box truck on assigned delivery routes
- Deliver dry, refrigerated, and frozen products and food-service supplies
- Complete multiple customer stops throughout the day
- Load, unload, move, and stack products at customer locations
- Verify products and quantities against invoices
- Maintain accurate delivery paperwork
- Track delivery progress through IGF's routing technology
- Communicate delivery issues or discrepancies to Operations and management
- Provide professional, customer-focused service at every delivery
- Collect customer payments when applicable
- Perform daily vehicle safety and roadworthiness checks
- Follow DOT regulations, traffic laws, and IGF safety procedures Maintain an acceptable driving record throughout employment
