Key Responsibilities
Application & Software Development Design, develop, test, and deploy interactive web and mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms. Build and maintain web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks, including React. Develop and manage RESTful APIs that support internal and client-facing digital products. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. Implement responsive, user-friendly experiences optimized across browsers and devices. Troubleshoot application issues, improve performance, and enhance system reliability. Website Development & Content Management Lead development and maintenance of company and client websites using WordPress and other content management systems. Create custom WordPress themes, templates, and functionality from the ground up. Modify and enhance existing PHP-based websites and applications. Ensure websites maintain optimal performance, accessibility, SEO best practices, and security standards. Manage website updates, plugin maintenance, and platform upgrades. Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps Administer and support AWS environments, including EC2, S3, CloudFormation, and Infrastructure as Code initiatives. Manage web hosting environments, domain registrations, SSL certificates, DNS configurations, and server infrastructure. Monitor system health, security, backups, and disaster recovery processes. Maintain and improve deployment workflows and development environments. Support cloud architecture planning and infrastructure scalability initiatives. Digital Marketing & Communications Technology Develop and distribute HTML email campaigns and digital communications through platforms such as Constant Contact. Support marketing and communications teams with landing pages, digital campaigns, and user engagement tools. Implement tracking, analytics, and reporting solutions to measure campaign effectiveness and user engagement. IT Systems Administration Manage SmartMark's internal technology systems and digital assets. Maintain password management systems, software licensing, and platform subscriptions. Track technology renewals, security updates, hosting expirations, and system maintenance schedules. Support ongoing cybersecurity efforts and technology governance initiatives. Maintain AWS CDK environments and internal infrastructure documentation. Mobile App Publishing & Management Publish and manage mobile applications in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Coordinate application updates, version releases, and compliance requirements. Monitor application performance and user feedback to drive ongoing improvements. Required Qualifications 5+ years of professional experience in web development, application development, or digital technology leadership.
Strong proficiency in:
JavaScript React Python HTML5 CSS3 PHP Experience building and maintaining REST APIs. Strong understanding of WordPress architecture and custom theme/template development. Experience with AWS cloud technologies, including EC2, S3, CloudFormation, and Infrastructure as Code methodologies. Experience managing DNS settings, web hosting platforms, and server environments. Experience developing and deploying mobile applications. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while working under tight deadlines. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience with Expo and React Native development. Proficiency in TypeScript. Experience creating animations and interactive digital experiences. Background in game development or gamification technologies. Familiarity with SketchUp or similar 3D modeling tools. Adobe After Effects experience. Experience with Shapespark or other immersive 3D/virtual environment platforms. Knowledge of UX/UI design principles and customer engagement technologies.
