This is a hands-on, individual contributor role focused mainly on DevOps and AWS. You'll manage the deployment pipeline that moves containerized applications from the cloud to each ship, and you'll also do some full stack development. Cruise or maritime experience is not required, and the team is flexible on exact tools as long as you understand the concepts. The role is fully remote from the Philippines and works Eastern Time hours.
Day to Day/Key Responsibilities:
- Support the deployment workflow from the code repository through to each ship's environment
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions/Workflows
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using tools such as Argo CD and Red Hat OpenShift
- Move container images from AWS to shipboard environments, treating each ship as its own domain
- Support releases across the whole shipboard product portfolio, possibly focusing on specific projects over time
- Contribute to full stack development using technologies such as Java, Next.js, React and TypeScript
- Use AI coding tools such as Claude Code and Cursor in daily development and release work
- Work with a wider group of 20 to 30 developers based on the ships and shoreside as more applications are brought in-house
