ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re hiring a Senior SRE / Infrastructure Engineer to keep IcyBox fast, reliable and ready to scale. You’ll own our AWS infrastructure and make sure the site and app stay up through our biggest product drops and traffic spikes.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Design, build and run our infrastructure on AWS
- Manage infrastructure as code with Pulumi
- Set up monitoring, logging, alerting and service-level objectives (SLOs)
- Prepare for traffic spikes from drops and promotions with load testing and autoscaling
- Lead on-call, incident response and blameless postmortems
- Improve deploy pipelines and container orchestration
- Keep cloud costs under control as we grow
- Own backups, disaster recovery and database reliability
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years in SRE, DevOps or infrastructure engineering
- Deep AWS experience, including EC2, ECS or EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC and CloudFront (required)
- Strong infrastructure-as-code skills with Pulumi, Terraform, or CloudFormation
- Experience with Docker and container orchestration on Kubernetes or ECS
- Hands-on with observability tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana or CloudWatch
- Scripting skills in Python, Go or Bash
- Experience leading incident response for critical production systems
NICE TO HAVE
- AWS certifications, such as Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer
- Handling flash sales or sudden e-commerce traffic spikes
- PostgreSQL or MySQL performance tuning
- Cloud cost optimization
- Startup or high-growth company experience
