Immanuel’s vision is to “lift high the Son of God in the city of Chicago, that all may be drawn to Him.” We seek to make the Good News of Jesus personal, tangible and visible for our neighbors. The primary time we gather to lift high the name of Jesus is Sunday mornings at 10:00AM!
Worship at Immanuel Anglican Church combines friendly, urban-Midwest informality with the grace and beauty of Christian rituals that date back thousands of years. The service is led by our Rector (Father Aaron Damiani) with many lay leaders - men, women, and even children - actively taking part in proclaiming Scriptures and leading prayers.
Anglicans view worship as “a work of the people,” so the service is highly participatory. A detailed Order of Service is provided so that everyone may join in worship as much or as little as he or she is comfortable.
