The Preventative Maintenance Engineer will be responsible primarily for overall care and maintenance in guest rooms and other guest-facing areas of the hotel. This role directly impacts the guest experience and can involve interaction with guests and/or internal colleagues and teams; strong interpersonal skills and comfort engaging with others are essential. While this is an entry level position, previous maintenance experience and/or hotel experience is preferred. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, occasional overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays. - Previous General hotel maintenance experience is a plus
- Experience involving painting and tile/wall repair strongly preferred.
- 1-2 years of maintenance experience required
- Strong troubleshooting skills (electricity, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, etc.)
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with guests and team
- Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, and stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift, pull, and push a moderate amount of weight.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, occasional overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
