The Housing Authority of the City of Shreveport (HACS) has been a cornerstone of affordable housing and community development since 1940. Our mission is to provide quality, affordable housing for low-income families and individuals through the effective and efficient administration of housing assistance programs.
With a portfolio of more than 4,600 housing units across Shreveport, HACS is committed to more than housing - we are dedicated to building pathways to self-sufficiency, economic independence, and long-term community stability.
Guided by a five-member Board of Commissioners, appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council, we strive to create sustainable neighborhoods and expand opportunities for the residents we serve.
