HiFyve is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic! Salary: $27-30 Shift: 7 AM – 7 PM rotating shift Location: Johnson County
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance on production and packaging equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Inspect machinery to diagnose issues and identify necessary repairs
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment using hand and power tools
- Replace worn or defective components using blueprints and technical manuals
- Perform welding tasks related to machinery repair
- Support predictive maintenance efforts (oil/water analysis, vibration testing, infrared scans)
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and equipment logs
- Ensure all equipment operates efficiently to minimize downtime
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Assist with continuous improvement and preventative maintenance programs
- Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts (with certification)
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Technical or vocational training preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in an industrial setting
- Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting skills
- Experience with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals
- Welding experience preferred
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Must have own tools
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Willingness to work 12-hour shifts and overtime as needed
