HiFyve is hiring a Field Technician in the heavy equipment construction repair industry in De Pere, WI!
Employment Type: Regular, Full-Time Shift: Day shift Location: Field-based out of De Pere, WI (on-site / customer locations) Rate of Pay: $33 - $37/hour
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and recondition construction, municipal, and highway-related heavy equipment
- Perform large diesel engine, hydraulic, and electrical system repairs and servicing
- Provide field service support while maintaining strong relationships with customers
- Research issues and recommend repair solutions, improvements, or product upgrades
- Maintain high-quality service by following established service and safety standards
- Attend factory and technical training to stay current on equipment and systems
- Represent the company professionally at all times, including appearance, conduct, and operation of company vehicles
- Communicate findings, repair status, and recommendations clearly with customers and internal teams
- Accurately document repairs, service work, and related results
- Contribute to team goals and assist with related tasks as needed
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Trade school degree or equivalent hands-on industry experience strongly preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Minimum 2+ years of full-time heavy equipment repair experience
- Experience troubleshooting construction, municipal, or highway equipment
- Strong diagnostic skills in diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required
- CDL preferred but not required
- Must own a respectable set of hand tools
- Ability to pass a pre-employment mechanical aptitude test
- Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments and varying weather conditions
