HEICO Repair Group Aerostructures is seeking an experienced Shop Manager to oversee daily operations of our aircraft component maintenance shop. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aircraft component repair, a deep understanding of FAA and industry compliance standards and exceptional team leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Lead and supervise daily shop operations ensuring workflow and efficiency and adherence to repair schedules and TAT.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Customer Service departments to ensure timely delivery and compliance.
- Oversee and support technicians performing sheet metal and/or composite repairs.
- Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, safety and environmental standards.
- Monitor productivity and quality metrics to identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Train, mentor and evaluate shop personnel
- Provide technical input and support on complex repairs.
- Prepare and present operational reports to upper management.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in aircraft component maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong technical background in aircraft component repair, including sheet metal and composite work.
- Familiarity with FAA regulations, 145 repair station requirements and EASA standards.
- Demonstrated leadership ability and effective team management skills.
- Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in maintenance tracking systems and shop management software (Pentagon preferred)
- Airframe and/or Powerplant license preferred.
