Position Summary
A junior, fully onsite studio role producing ecommerce product imagery for Lids.
This position will initially be offered on a part-time, temporary basis, with the potential to transition into a full-time role based on business needs and performance.
The work is high volume and process-driven: shoot the day’s product, upload the captures into our AI imaging tool, check the rendered output carefully against the physical product, and deliver finished files to the team. Because the AI tool handles the final render, this is not a role that asks for a deep photography résumé. What it asks for is quality control, organization, and an unusually careful eye - catching the rendered image that does not match the garment sitting in front of you, and keeping hundreds of samples, captures, and files straight while doing it.
This is a strong fit for someone early in their career who wants studio reps and hands-on experience with an AI-assisted production workflow.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Shoot products following established ecommerce standards.
- Upload captures into our AI imaging tool and run them through processing.
- QA every rendered image against the actual product - color accuracy, cut-out edges, fabric texture and detail, logo, patch and embroidery fidelity, lighting and shadow. Flag, reshoot, or reprocess anything that does not hold up. This is the most important part of the role.
- Export and deliver finished imagery to the team or upload directly into the destination system, correctly named and organized.
- Manage sample flow end to end: intake, tracking, steaming and prep, and return of product after shooting.
- Keep a clear running record of what has been shot, what is in process, and what has been delivered, so status is visible at any point.
- Work through a daily shot list and keep pace with the ecommerce calendar.
Job Required Knowledge and Skills
- Foundational photography and studio lighting skills for flat laydown product work. Extensive formal experience is not required - the priority is clean, consistent source capture.
- Rigorous quality control instincts and a literal, patient eye for detail. The ability to hold a rendered image next to the real product and see exactly where it is off is the core skill of this job.
- Exceptional organization. This role lives or dies on keeping product, captures, and files in order at volume.
- Comfort with repetition and volume, and the discipline to keep quality even across a long shoot day.
- Reliability with file naming and asset management.
- Curiosity about AI-assisted imaging workflows and a willingness to learn the tool.
- Available to work onsite in the photo studio.
Physical Demands & Requirements
- Ability to constantly sit at a desk in a sedentary work environment.
- Ability to frequently communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to view electronic/written materials and adjust focus when needed.
- Ability to frequently use a computer, keyboard, mouse, and other standard office equipment.
- Ability to occasionally stand and walk throughout the office.
- Ability to occasionally lift or move items up to 15 pounds.
- Ability to occasionally present information to small and large groups, including team members and leadership.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Work Environment
- Onsite office work environment.
