As an A-Lineman - Journeyman, you play a critical role in constructing, maintaining, and repairing electrical power systems. You ensure the safe and reliable delivery of power to our customers. This position demands a high level of skill, physical stamina, and a commitment to safety. You work both independently and as part of a team to address a variety of electrical challenges.
Requirements
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Installs and repairs overhead and underground electrical distribution systems.
- Performs maintenance on power lines, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Troubleshoots and repairs electrical equipment in substations.
- Applies lineman skills to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
- Operates and maintains bucket trucks and other specialized equipment.
- Installs, maintains, and replaces transformers.
- Adheres to all safety regulations and procedures.
- Provides guidance and mentorship to apprentice linemen.
- Participates in emergency response and outage restoration efforts.
- Makes decisions regarding the safe and effective methods for completing electrical work.
