The substitute teacher must have a genuine love of teaching students, and demonstrate sensitivity to diversity. Individuals that want to become a substitute teacher must meet State and GREAAT Schools, Inc. requirements. The applicant should have some basic experience related to all duties connected to managing a classroom of students to ensure learning objectives are achieved.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

Preferred Qualification Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree and valid Teaching Certificate or a minimum of 90 college credit hours (from an accredited university) with at least a 2.5 cumulative grade point average. {Excellent communication skills (written & oral) Highly organized with exceptional time management skills {An interest in working with students of various age groups Ability to create a positive learning atmosphere, focused on student involvement/interaction {Ability to manage conflict and obtain positive results {Professional demeanor and personal integrity {Ability to demonstrate safe work habits and maintain a safe environment for students {Demonstrated ability to adapt to individuals specific needs {Demonstrated ability to use & integrate arts and technology in classroom and project instruction {Demonstrated ability to adapt to differences and changes in characteristics of students, programs, leadership, staff and community {Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member {Required Criminal history background check. {All Substitutes may be required to perform duties outside of their normal responsibilities from time to time, as needed.
