YOUR IMPACT AS A LEAD NIGHT SHIFT FEED MILL OPERATOR
You will lead and support fellow production team members while helping keep the feed mill running smoothly and efficiently. You'll assign priorities, monitor production schedules, operate equipment throughout the manufacturing process, oversee ingredient handling and quality standards, support regulatory compliance, promote workplace safety, and communicate important information between shifts. Along the way, you'll mentor teammates, troubleshoot equipment concerns, assist with preventative maintenance activities, and help ensure customers receive high-quality feed products they can depend on.

OUR IDEAL LEAD NIGHT SHIFT FEED MILL OPERATOR
We're looking for someone who can work Monday through Friday from 6:00 PM to 5:00 AM while meeting the following qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- 1+ years of feed manufacturing, grain handling, agricultural processing, or related production experience
- Leadership and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to operate production equipment and computerized production systems
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Understands feed quality, food/feed safety, and regulatory requirements
- Ability to operate production equipment and computerized production systems
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in varying temperatures, dust, noise, and manufacturing environments
- Ability to safely work at heights and in confined spaces
- Ability to wear required PPE including respirators, hearing protection, and safety equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous lead, trainer, or supervisory experience
- Knowledge of feed manufacturing processes and quality systems
- Experience with pelleting, batching, loadout, and feed mill automation systems
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
