OVERALL PURPOSE This position is responsible to assemble and test valves and other products to get the products to the final stage of production for on-time shipment to the customer. This position is required to conduct business in a professional and cordial manner that will uphold the integrity and reputation of Global/SFC Valve. This position maintains a thorough working knowledge of and adheres to the policies, regulations, and procedures of Global/SFC Valve. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1. Assemble and test products according to shop order and work instructions. 2. Accurately comprehend and interpret shop order instructions 3. Complete all required documentation immediately upon completion of the assigned process 4. Perform marking and product identification as required per shop order. 5. Consult with personnel in other departments to resolve issues. 6. Attend and participate in required meetings and trainings. OTHER DUTIES 1. Clean work area including building and machine maintenance 2. Process shop orders for maximum efficiency and work to eliminate non-value-added time 3. Assist in packaging and shipping as required 4. Assist with inventory 5. Report any identified problems immediately to supervision according to Company policies and procedures and provide recommendations for solutions 6. Continuously investigate and advise Supervisors of more efficient methods of work processing to eliminate non-value-added time 7. Perform other related duties as required 8. Identify problems, investigate the root-cause, and make recommendations for solutions
