FII USA, Inc., a Foxconn Technology Group Company, is seeking a Calibration Program Specialist to administer the campus calibration and measurement-equipment control program and coordinate calibration schedules, equipment tracking, and supplier services. Once a part of the team, you will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks within the Training and Development Department in a manufacturing environment and have the opportunity to display critical thinking skills to expand your career in Smart Manufacturing.
The Calibration Program Specialist will manage IndySoft records, verify calibration certificates, coordinate equipment collection and return, and address out-of-tolerance conditions to maintain traceable, audit-ready measurement equipment and assist the Training and Development Department as needed.
Responsibilities
- Administer IndySoft equipment identity, owner, department, building, location, interval, due date, status, supplier, and certificate data. Promptly record calibration results, next due dates, attachments, comments, restrictions, and service status.
- Issue 30-, 60-, and 90-day forecasts and due notices; prioritize by risk, production use, turnaround, and equipment availability.
- Work with campus owners and custodians to locate and collect instruments before due dates. Verify identification, condition, accessories, handling needs, status, and service requirements before shipment or supplier service.
- Prepare packing lists, service requests, purchase and shipping documents, and protective packaging; arrange transport to approved providers. Track off-site equipment, supplier turnaround, delays, and expected returns, escalating production or compliance risks.
- Coordinate on-site calibration lists, work areas, access, escorts, production schedules, supplier documentation, and completion verification.
- Reconcile returned shipments, equipment identity, condition, labels, accessories, and certificates. Review traceability, as-found and as-left results, tolerances, applicable uncertainty or limitations, adjustments, environmental conditions, and authorized approval.
- Hold equipment with out-of-tolerance, limited, damaged, adjusted, failed, incomplete, or questionable results until evaluation and disposition. Coordinate late-calibration, product-impact, and measurement-risk investigations and maintain evidence and action status.
- Verify calibration-status identification and return acceptable equipment and accessories to the correct owner or location. Reconcile overdue, missing, inactive, lost, damaged, scrapped, loaned, transferred, and other exception-status equipment through disposition.
- Register new equipment and arrange initial calibration or suitability review before use. Conduct inventories and walkthroughs to identify unregistered assets, incorrect locations, label issues, and equipment no longer used.
- Support supplier qualification and monitoring for scope, accreditation, performance, turnaround, certificate quality, pricing, and issue resolution.
- Maintain procedures, instructions, checklists, supplier and shipment records, certificates, investigation files, and audit evidence. Support customer, certification, internal, and QMS audits by explaining status, demonstrating IndySoft controls, retrieving records, and coordinating closure.
- Report upcoming demand, on-time completion, overdue equipment, turnaround, out-of-tolerance events, inventory accuracy, and workload. Improve custodian accountability, collection routes, shipping, supplier coordination, data quality, forecasting, and efficiency.
- Coordinate Compliance Coordinator support for inventories, status checks, collection, packaging, tracking, and return. Review discrepancies and retain responsibility for records, certificate review, and authorized service-status decisions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Quality, Metrology, Manufacturing, Electronics, Business Operations, or a related discipline is preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
- Two or more years of calibration coordination, metrology, quality, maintenance planning, equipment control, laboratory, or related experience is preferred. Experience using IndySoft or another calibration-management system is strongly preferred. Experience reviewing calibration certificates, coordinating external suppliers, supporting audits, or investigating out-of-tolerance equipment is preferred.
- Certifications and Training: Formal metrology, calibration, quality-system, or measurement-uncertainty training is a plus.
- Strong equipment-tracking, scheduling, logistics, organization, and follow-up skills across multiple buildings and departments.
- Hands-on experience with calibration-management or asset-control software; IndySoft experience is strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of calibration status, intervals, due dates, traceability, certificates, tolerances, as-found and as-left results, adjustments, and out-of-tolerance conditions.
- Ability to review technical calibration certificates carefully and identify incomplete, inconsistent, or unacceptable information.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate, timely equipment and record status.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with equipment owners, supervisors, engineers, quality personnel, purchasing, shipping, suppliers, and auditors.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, email, reporting tools, document storage, and routine data reconciliation.
- Ability to package and handle sensitive instruments safely and manage multiple simultaneous supplier transactions.
- Working knowledge of measurement-equipment control, quality-system, audit, and basic metrology principles is preferred.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize risk, and escalate overdue or questionable equipment promptly.
