Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Cloud Engineer (or closely related occupation) performing cloud-native software development, infrastructure-as-code automation and observability engineering within enterprise Kubernetes and Linux based distributed environments.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Cloud Engineer (or closely related occupation) performing cloud-native software development, infrastructure-as-code automation and observability engineering within enterprise Kubernetes and Linux based distributed environments.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
- Demonstrated Expertise designing and implementing software applications using Python, C++, and Golang.
- Demonstrated Expertise architecting and deploying cloud-native infrastructure and multi-tiered systems using Linux, Kubernetes and AWS Cloud Services with advanced networking, storage configuration and containerization to ensure scalable, resilient, and highly available workloads.
- Demonstrated Expertise developing infrastructure-as-code frameworks using Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines built on tools -- Jenkins and ALM platforms.
- Demonstrated Expertise developing robust data and network automation pipelines using Python-based frameworks and observability tools -- Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack and Fluentd -- to ensure high performance and reliability.
