Screen Assembler $15-$17/HR DOE
Our client in the Conroe, TX area is hiring Screen Assemblers to join our manufacturing team. This is a hands-on, entry-level position, and no prior experience is required. If you’re dependable, willing to learn, and comfortable with physical work, we’ll train you on the job and give you the chance to cross-train into other areas of the plant.
What You’ll Do
- Assemble screens to engineering specifications in the safest and most cost-efficient manner
- Trim or mark screens as needed
- Cut screen and steel to length, and grind as required
- Box, crate, and move parts, and remove parts from boxes for the assembly process
- Store equipment and materials in their proper places
- Check parts for accuracy of dimension and quantity
- Cross-train in other areas as needed to meet production schedules and manufacturing needs
- Help with plant housekeeping, including sweeping, emptying trash barrels, and storing chemicals properly
- Follow all safety and environmental policies and programs, and use personal protective equipment as required
- Report any activity that could harm safety or productivity, and report any injury when it occurs
What We’re Looking For
- Willingness and ability to be cross-trained in different areas
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as production requires
- Good communication skills (ability to speak, read, and write English preferred)
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled facility (the plant has no air conditioning)
- A strong commitment to safety and quality
- No experience necessary. Entry-level candidates are welcome.
Schedule
Day shift, 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM- weekend work may be required based on production needs.
Work Environment
This is a manufacturing plant environment. Work is physical and may involve lifting, moving materials, standing for long periods, and exposure to heat. Required safety equipment will be provided and must be worn per company policy.
