Forklift Operator

Our client in Iowa City, IA is looking for a Forklift Operator!

Position Summary: Our client is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to support daily warehouse operations in a fast-paced electrical supply environment. This role is responsible for safely moving, loading, unloading, and organizing materials throughout the warehouse using a forklift. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working with heavy materials, and committed to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a forklift to load, unload, and move materials safely throughout the warehouse
• Receive incoming shipments and place inventory in designated storage areas
• Pull and stage customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Assist with inventory counts and help maintain accurate records
• Inspect forklift equipment daily and report maintenance concerns
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Work closely with team members to meet daily shipping and receiving deadlines

Qualifications:

• Previous forklift operating experience required
• Valid driver’s license required
• Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs regularly
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Reliable attendance and strong teamwork skills
• Ability to pass a background screen

Hours:

• Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Saturday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Pay:

• $18.00/hour
