Under the supervision of an electrical engineer, troubleshoot, diagnose and repair electrical components in a residential environment. Read technical diagrams and blueprints. Perform general electrical maintenance, and select electrical equipment, components or systems to meet functional specifications. Inspect transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components. Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices. Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, and fixtures. Perform circuit breaker corrective maintenance. Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle. Obtain customer authorization/signature for payment (or financing) at completion of job. Assist customers in evaluating repair vs. replace options. Assist in generating and scheduling replacement consultations. Travel to job sites in service area, 4-5 times per week within the NYC area. Requirements: 2 yr. of job experience is required.
