Help Our Neighbors Find the Right Solutions, One Conversation at a Time.
At etrailer, great customer service isn't defined by how we communicate. It's about understanding what our neighbors need, providing trusted guidance, and helping them move forward with confidence.
As a Customer Service Chat Specialist, you'll primarily connect with neighbors through live chat, answering questions, researching products, and helping them find complete solutions for their journeys. You'll combine thoughtful written communication, product knowledge, and genuine hospitality to create personalized experiences that make every interaction feel human.
Every conversation is an opportunity to make a connection.
While chat will be your primary focus, you'll also support neighbors through inbound and outbound phone calls when needed. Through hands-on training, coaching, and real-world experience, you'll continue developing the skills and confidence to serve neighbors across different channels.
What You Will Do
• Connect with neighbors primarily through live chat, answering questions and understanding what they're trying to accomplish.
• Ask thoughtful questions, explain product options, and recommend complete solutions that help neighbors make informed purchasing decisions.
• Assist neighbors through inbound and outbound phone calls when needed, providing the same personalized service across channels.
• Research our towing, trailer, RV, and outdoor products while using available tools and resources to provide accurate, trusted guidance.
• Process orders, document conversations, and manage neighbor information accurately using our systems.
• Collaborate with teammates and product experts to resolve challenges and help neighbors take the next step in their journey.
• Take ownership of your work, continue developing your skills, and have some fun while helping our neighbors journey.
What Makes Someone Successful in This Role
• You enjoy helping people and can create a friendly, personal connection through written conversations.
• You communicate clearly and professionally, with strong typing, reading comprehension, and attention to detail.
• You're naturally curious and ask questions to understand someone's needs before recommending a solution.
• You're comfortable guiding neighbors through product options, addressing concerns, and helping them confidently move forward with a purchase.
• You're organized and able to manage conversations, information, and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• You're adaptable, comfortable communicating by both chat and phone, and open to feedback that helps you improve.
• Experience in customer service, live chat, retail, sales, or another people-focused role is helpful, but strong communication, sound judgment, and willingness to learn matter just as much.
Who This Role Is For
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with people and has a talent for making written communication feel natural, helpful, and personal. You'll find satisfaction in researching questions, explaining solutions clearly, and helping neighbors make confident decisions without always needing a face-to-face conversation.
If you're comfortable using technology, enjoy solving problems, and want to develop your skills in a team that values hospitality, collaboration, and continuous learning, you'll find opportunities to grow at etrailer.
Benefits
etrailer offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, paid holidays, and more.
You'll also receive hands-on training, ongoing coaching, and opportunities to continue developing your product knowledge and communication skills.
