Ethos Pet Brands is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician III to serve as a senior technical expert within our Brownwood manufacturing facility. This position is designed for experienced maintenance professionals who thrive on solving complex equipment problems, leading troubleshooting efforts, improving reliability, and developing other technicians. As a Maintenance Technician III, you will influence equipment performance, maintenance strategy, training, and continuous improvement efforts across the facility while serving as a trusted technical resource for Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance leadership.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Lead troubleshooting and recovery efforts during critical breakdowns and production events
- Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation systems
- Conduct root cause failure analysis and implement long-term corrective actions
- Improve preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance programs
- Support capital projects, equipment startups, and commissioning activities
- Lead shutdowns, major repairs, equipment overhauls, and improvement projects
- Develop maintenance standards and reliability improvement strategies
- Train, mentor, and develop Maintenance Technician I and II team members
- Partner with Engineering and Operations to improve equipment performance and reduce downtime
TECHNICAL STRENGTHS WE VALUE
- Advanced Mechanical: Precision alignment, vibration analysis, thermography, gearbox rebuilds, conveyors, power transmission, and reliability principles
- Advanced Electrical: Motor controls, power distribution, VFD programming, servo systems, control circuits, and three-phase systems
- Automation: PLC and HMI troubleshooting, industrial networking, instrumentation, sensors, and system optimization
- Reliability: RCFA, FMEA, predictive maintenance technologies, condition monitoring, and reliability-centered maintenance
WHAT YOU BRING
- 5-10+ years of industrial maintenance experience
- Advanced multi-craft troubleshooting capability
- Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills
- Experience solving complex equipment failures
- Experience with controls, automation, and electrical systems
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
- Ability to lead projects and work independently
PREFERRED BACKGROUND
- Technical degree, trade certification, or professional maintenance certification
- Advanced PLC, VFD, servo, instrumentation, or network troubleshooting experience
- Predictive maintenance and reliability engineering experience
- Project leadership and shutdown management experience
