Responsibilities
A CNA picking up shifts through Elite Medical Staffing at an Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/ID) or group home may be expected to:
- Utilize EMR to record patients’ medical information and vital signs
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene
- Support individuals in developing and maintaining independence with daily routines and life skills
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning as needed while promoting safe movement
- Encourage participation in recreational, educational, vocational, and community-based activities
- Monitor individuals' health, behavior, and overall well-being and report changes or concerns to appropriate staff
- Promote a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment that supports individual choice, dignity, and rights
- Accurately document care provided, observations, and services in accordance with facility requirements
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements
- Communicate concerns or issues to onsite supervisor and agency
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience working under an active CNA Certification
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in an ICF/ID setting
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Must have reliable transportation to assigned facilities
- Must maintain consistent attendance and punctuality
- Able to push, pull, and lift at least 50 pounds
- Able to be standing and walking with frequent bending, reaching, and lifting with proper body mechanics
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Willing to complete background and drug screening in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
Credentials Required
- Active and unencumbered GA CNA Certification
- Government-Issued Photo ID or Passport
- CPR/BLS
- Tuberculosis (TB) Test
- DBHDD Prints
- Resume
- Additional credentials may be required based on facility placement
