ELECTRIC MOTORS AND SPECIALTIES (EMandS) in Garrett Indiana is a local family-owned company and has set the pace as a leader in manufacturing high-quality Unit Bearing Fan Motors for a variety of commercial and residential refrigeration applications. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. As a Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of various machinery and equipment used in our production processes. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
If you dont like spending your days in a cubicle, this is the perfect position for you! Youll be on your feet the entire shift. You must be able to bend down, reach overhead, occasionally lift/carry up to 30lbs and push/pull pallet jacks, regularly work on repetitive tasks, regularly use hands and fingers to handle, control, or feel objects, good vision, regularly carry/lift 10 lbs. or less, (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.)
Duties
- Operate and monitor machinery such as CNC machines, stamping presses, and assembly line equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Set up and adjust machines according to specifications, including tooling changes and programming adjustments.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and maintain quality standards.
Skills
- Familiarity with assembly line processes and warehouse operations.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Experience with CNC programming and operation is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of tooling setups and adjustments for various machining processes.
- Ability to operate stamping presses safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
