Job Purpose:
- The Cook 2 position at ZTV-ECI is responsible for preparing and cooking meals according to established recipes and standards, ensuring high-quality food service. The role involves maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety regulations, and collaborating with the culinary team to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals following standardized recipes and menus, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
- Assist in the inventory management of kitchen supplies, including ordering and stocking ingredients as needed.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes.
- Monitor food preparation and cooking times to ensure timely service during meal periods.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their culinary skills.
- Participate in regular kitchen meetings to discuss menu planning, food preparation techniques, and service improvements.
Qualifications
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Culinary arts training or certification is preferred.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen setting.
- Proven track record of working in high-volume catering environments.
- Experience in preparing a variety of cuisines with a focus on quality and presentation.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to follow recipes and adhere to food safety standards.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely preparation and delivery of meals.
