YOUR ROLE AS AN ASSISTANT ELECTRICIAN:
As an Assistant Electrician, your workday commences in collaboration with the Lead Electrician, as you travel to various job sites for installations and service calls. You engage immediately in the tasks at hand, contributing to job planning and layout, while actively participating in fishing wires, installing light fixtures, and troubleshooting electrical issues. Throughout the day, you enhance your proficiency in splicing, terminating panels, installing outlets and switches, and suspending ceiling fans, transitioning seamlessly from one task to another. Adherence to safety protocols is paramount; you consistently don safety glasses, hand protection, and a dust mask, and you are well-versed in ladder safety practices. After the day, you assist in maintaining the organization of the service vehicle, ensuring that tools and supplies are adequately stocked and prepared for the following day's work.
To complete this electrical technician position, you need the following:
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in tight spaces and on ladders
- Capability of working in both hot and cold conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (preferred)
YOUR SCHEDULE AS AN ASSISTANT ELECTRICIAN
While working in this apprentice role, you can consistently work from 7 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday.
