The Position: Implementation Consultant – Global Edge
The Implementation Consultant’s primary responsibilities include onboarding new Global Edge customers and working with existing customers on a post-implementation basis to ensure each Global Edge client can maximize their software investment. No matter the size or scope of a project, the Implementation Consultant is responsible for ensuring our implementations stay on track and are delivered on time and with a level of excellence. Collaboration with customers and software partners is crucial to maintain project momentum and address obstacles to ensure the success of each project. Implementation Consultants are also encouraged to continually improve our processes, using learnings from each project to help reduce the time and effort involved in future implementations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide consulting, implementation, and technical support for Global Edge ERP clients
- Involvement in the entire software implementation process including planning, execution, monitoring and graduation to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget
- Work with new clients to develop and execute a system implementation plan working side-by-side with the Project Manager to take customers from installation to being fully operational on ECI Global Edge software
- Coordinate across departments and with external partners to ensure successful go live events
- Prepare and present live on-line training webinars
- Develop meaningful & professional training materials to assist customers with processes and procedures
- Document data requirements, client SOPs and process workflows as needed
- Report to the Project Manager regularly on status of implementations and potential issues utilizing Asana
- Review business and operational processes with clients and map current workflows to help identify the best way to set-up and deploy new applications
- Provide clients with on-site and remote implementation and training
- Continue to support clients after Go Live date to ensure long-term success of the implementation, including follow-up training, issue resolution, and general business consulting, when appropriate
Candidate Requirements:
- Personable and articulate – able to effectively communicate information to an array of companies and people
- Basic accounting principles required
- Knowledge of GAAP accounting is a plus
- Knowledge of project management tools such as Asana preferable
- Previous experience with enterprise software packages and ERPs (accounting, dispatch, distribution, inventory, service automation)
- Detail-oriented; Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Software Implementation experience preferred
- Familiarity with SQL is a plus
- Willingness to travel up to 10% of the year across North America
