Position The Dublin San Ramon Services District is seeking a temporary, part-time Laboratory Technician to assist the Laboratory and Technical Services division.
Work schedule will be Tuesday through Thursday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. This is an on-site position at the District's Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility.
This assignment is anticipated to last up to six (6) months or 1000 hours, which occurs first, but may end at any time at the discretion of the District. Essential Functions Performs a variety of entry-level duties in support of the Laboratory and Technical Services division including:
- Calibrating meters (e.g., pH)
- Daily equipment verifications (e.g., balances)
- Basic Wet Chemistry Analysis
- Assists with preparation of microbiology supplies
- Glassware cleaning
Training and Experience Minimum Requirements
- Equivalent to an Associate of Arts degree in chemistry, biology, natural sciences or a related field
- Experience in an environmental laboratory, wastewater treatment plant laboratory, industrial waste inspection or related experience is desirable
- May not be an active CalPERS member (CalPERS retirees are encouraged to apply.)
